E-commerce ║ Managed multimedia health product website where parents, healthcare, and academia professionals can purchase innovative solutions for autism, health and wellness, substance abuse, social work education and etc. Designed and implemented new product submission form to reduce product launch delays; tracked product inventory; assisted with vendor management, marketing and packaging concepts, site admin portal maintenance and storefront layout design.

SharePoint ║ Designed and maintained SharePoint workspaces for content exchange and discussion groups, site access control, data tracking and cataloging. Site readjustments significantly reduced the recurrence of technical glitches.

Web ║ Designed and managed web content e.g., Executive Director’s Bi-Weekly Reports, association calendar, strategic plan, executive board and various committee rosters, and on-line registration forms.

 Website Content Management

Conferences ║ Facilitated corporate meetings and event management tasks associated with hosting a  conference and exhibition, e.g., executive board/committee/affiliate meetings, governing council, media relations and career placement services. Oversaw all aspects of speaker management. Provided general oversight of other event areas such as the Exhibit Hall – vendor monitoring and coordination; and Business Matchmaking – drafting online registration forms, tracking registration progression, and designing floor plans for the onsite interview meeting room. Generated speaker travel guidelines, supporting forms and travel agency booking protocols. 

Fundraising ║ Assisted with corporate fund-raising and development activities such as maintaining accurate donor contact and donation information. The development campaign yielded more than $450,000 in pledges and philanthropist donations within the first 9 months.

Special Events ║ Spearheaded a wide range of corporate meeting management and event planning tasks from identifying potential event venues, reviewing contracts, and vendor selection to developing event proposals. Through strategic preparation, data and marketing analysis, increased corporate event participation by 40%.

Continuing Education ║ Administered the Association’s entire continuing education (CE) program. Supervised annual CE Institute trainings registration, attendance validation, and certificate of attendance distribution. Reviewed and approved sponsor request applications. For several years, rose to the challenged and secured the renewal of CE provider credentials for Category-1 Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Nursing Contact Hours.

Travel Management ║ Teamed with the Contracts Unit to review and rank travel management proposals, generate offeror capability summaries, develop reference check questions and input template, coordinate offeror oral presentations, schedule and conduct reference checks and tabulate responses. Undertaking these tasks led to the prompt selection of the best value and qualified offer.

Committee Liaise ║ Served as liaison to APHA’s prestigious association-wide Awards Program. Managed the selection process of (4) award committees, budget planning, advertisement, and logistical coordination for highly distinguished honorees. Convinced senior management to publicize the Awards Program on the corporate website to generate more exposure and increase nomination submissions.

Proposal Coordination ║ Participated actively in proposal management and coordination including reviewing requests for proposal (RFP’s), entering proposal and bid/no bid status updates in ACT (CRM database), scheduling storyboard, proposal review e.g., red, blue, pink team meetings, overseeing document production, and compiling and tracking letters of support, past performance, and resumes.

Recruitment ║ Generated position descriptions, identified appropriate online and/or print options for maximum advertisement exposure, conducted new hire orientation, drafted on-boarding protocols, and managed bi-annual corporate training activities and logistics.

 Administrative

US Department of State ║ Held an instrumental role as Logistics Manager on an international focused project. Administration of this project involved meeting coordination and an extensive amount of contractual and intricate logistical negotiation associated with international project management, e.g., translation services, global travel (travel advances, vendor and consultant expense management, passport/visas, immunization requirements, and travel warnings) and in-country meeting coordination. As a result of this accomplishment, appointed to position of corporate representative for documenting, implementing and training of domestic and international travel protocols. Streamlined travel compliances delivered a 30% savings in travel cost. 

US Department of Navy ║ Assigned as Project Coordinator on a military contract to coordinate numerous tasks e.g., facilitated annual training conference and continuing education credentialing efforts; managed the preceptor and military facility databases; tracked consultant contractual hours; generated consultant agreements; processed invoices and reconciled travel expenditures. Implemented monthly protocol to consistently track consultant hours; raised invoice accuracy by 50%.

Community Outreach ║ Led planning activities for APHA’s first National Public Health Week campaign. Assisted the Associate Executive Director of Government Relations with maintaining stakeholder contact information; coordinating and scheduling of partnership planning meetings; production and dissemination of action alerts; workflow tracking, development and implementation of media packets and toolkit materials. Since 1995, National Public Health Week remains an annual tradition.

Led various internal brainstorming sessions on corporate re-branding efforts and special community events such as the 50th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Quality Assurance ║ Monitored project performance status through quarterly meetings and tracking of spend plans, meeting minutes and action items. Through this process, projects concluded on schedule and within budget which elevated performance ratings.

 Project Management and Coordination

Office Management ║ Manage the office and work with building management on office related matters. Established vendor relationships to retain the essential services. Co-facilitated with Finance and Administration to evaluate, recommend, and implement protocols on facility security, FISMA and 508 compliances, intranet reorganization, space and emergency planning, corporate online supply purchasing, and equipment and software upgrades.

Telecommunication ║ Oversaw contractual negotiations, administration, and training for a web-based telecommunication service. Supervised the merging of multi-vendor telecom services to a one-stop cloud integrated platform. Merging of these services boosted staff usage throughout the organization, reduced travel cost and improved productivity. 

Procurement ║ Utilized cost control measures to adhere to budgetary constraints; tracked corporate card purchases; reconciled expenditures; and periodically conducted price comparison analyses. Executing these measures alleviated Accounting’s need to conduct extensive reviews and oversight.

Expense Management ║ Generated contractual agreements, tracked consultant travel costs and fees, reviewed proposals, and procured goods and services. Implemented monthly protocol to consistently track consultant hours; raised invoice accuracy by 50%.
